POETRY READING

Michael Magee will read from a new collection of poetry, “Vanishing Points from Ballarat to Ravenna Park,” with photography by Jeff Acorn at King’s Books, Thurs., Nov. 30 from 7 p.m. The theme: “Stories from ghost towns of the west and the Pacific Northwest.” He will autograph books including “Dementia: Love is a Blur” about the ups and downs of dementia. HILLTOP ARTISTS’ WINTER GLASS SALE

All proceeds go back into Hilltop Artists’ tuition-free programs. 2017 marks the launch of our annual signature ornament. FESTIVAL OF THE NATIVITY

Experience a little bit of Bethlehem when you stroll through this free exhibit featuring more than 900 Christmas crèches and nativities on display at the 10th annual Tacoma Festival of the Nativity. A centerpiece of the event is a continual “living nativity.” Live Christmas vocal and instrumental music will be performed throughout the Festival.
