STORYTELLING

Come to the Antique Sandwich Company (5102 N. Pearl St.) Nov. 11 to experience “Tellabration! A Night of Storytelling.” Hear a concert of stories from local tellers that will appeal to storytelling fans ages 10 years and up. The fun begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets $5. Information (253) 983-9114.

TOY BOAT THEATRE

“365 Days/365 Plays” by Suzan-Lori Parks is being shown for five performances only. The production is a collaboration between Toy Boat Theatre Company and UW-Tacoma students. Performances are Nov. 16-18 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 18-19 at 2 p.m., 7:30 p.m. The Nov. 16 show is a free preview. The play is on the UWT campus: Broadcast Studio 007 Cherry Parkes Bldg. 1918 Pacific Ave. The theatre is located immediately behind Indochine Restaurant; enter between restaurant and bar off of Pacific Ave. Tickets are $10, and available online at brownpapertickets.com or at the door (cash or check only). CRAFT SATURDAY: WEAVING

Drop by Job Carr Cabin Museum for their monthly Craft Saturday event. Activities are designed for children ages 3-9 and their families. On Nov. 18, 1 p.m., learn all about weaving. Meet local weavers and see their looms in action. Create a woven craft to take home. Admission to the Museum and all events are “pay as you can.” Info: jobcarrmuseum.org/cabin-events

GINGERBREAD HOUSES

The Gingerbread Workshop on Nov. 19 from noon to 3 p.m. is the Sons of Norway’s fifth annual edition of the event. Come one, come all and bring your kids or grandkids to this kid-friendly event and enjoy the fun of creating a gingerbread house for the holidays. The workshop takes place at Norden Lodge #2 at 1106 S. 15th St. The cost is $15 per house. All you need is decorating candies and a tray or something to build it on. ZOOLIGHTS

Experience the magic! See the Zoo transformed into a colorful winter wonderland with more than a half-million lights. The holiday spirit comes aglow in this magical world of dazzling 3-D animal light displays. Animal light displays for 2017 include hammerhead sharks and sea turtles, carnivorous plants and their insect prey, a whimsical 30-foot-wide underwater landscape, a majestic polar bear family, and a gorgeous giant Pacific octopus. Ride a camel, enjoy tasty treats, and take a spin on the carousel. You can even wrap up your holiday shopping with our unique gift ideas.
