Symphony Tacoma hosts one of its Mini Maestros events March 18, 2:30-3:30 p.m. at University of Puget Sound’s Schneebeck Concert Hall. Mini Maestros is Symphony Tacoma’s outreach programs, aimed at getting young children into music. The Symphony Tacoma Brass Quintet is headed into outer space and they are taking you with them. Come and learn all about the brass family and enjoy a space-themed musical adventure that is out of this world. On this musical voyage, we will continue to explore elements of music such as pulse, dynamics, and range. The Symphony Tacoma Brass Quintet will perform a variety of tunes inspired by the planets, stars, and intergalactic travel. The instrument petting zoo begins at 1:30 p.m. Be sure to get there early so your kids can try out the instruments. The concert begins at 2:30 p.m. and is 45 minutes long.
