The Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s 2018 “Ghosts of Christmas Eve” concert hit the Tacoma Dome for their 20th anniversary tour. The Nov. 25 show boasted the largest audience – topping 16,000 – in TSO’s history.
This unique, arena experience of hard rock/symphonic metal features a trio of blazing guitars, booming rock drums, deep bass lines, duel rocking keyboardists, eight power vocalists and a metal violinist backed by seven more local string musicians. TSO cranked out Christmas tunes like none other. Trans-Siberian Orchestra rock operas have made the outfit one of the top ticket-selling bands. As Bill Bungard’s photos show, the elaborate performance with pyrotechnics, lights, lasers, fog and video screen effects – all synchronized to music – was a masterpiece of entertainment.
