Decorating and shopping for the holidays


In flipping the pages of the calendar to November, we are now at the top of that big frosty slide that leads to the winter holidays. A time marked by lights and music, feasting and merriment geared to usher us through the long, cold nights of the dark side of the year. Part of the fun is decorating and shopping. From now until the middle of December, there is no lack of holiday bazaars, crafts sales and events featuring locally made gift items. Here is a guide to many of these events scheduled to take place in and around Tacoma in the coming weeks.

This year, the Lewis Community Spouses’ Club will host its annual holiday market at Lakes High School. Come shop with direct sales vendors for an array of hand-made goods to meet your needs, as the holiday season gets closer and closer. All profit from the admissions fee will go towards the Club’s Community Grants fund, from which grants and scholarships are awarded to various community organizations and individuals.
