Life Center’s 55th Annual Singing Christmas Tree is proud to announce a brand-new production (from the award-winning writing team of last year’s acclaimed show The Christmas Key), Coming Home: An Original Singing Christmas Tree Production. Directed by newcomer Adam Barta and Conducted by Dr. Kenton Lee, the production runs on the Life Center stage December 9 – 23, 2017. Tickets are on sale now.
About Coming Home: Our story takes place in the quaint little town of Glenbrook where the local theatre group (full of larger-than-life characters) are preparing for the town’s annual Christmas pageant. Billy Rogers, the long-time writer of the show, is running low on Christmas spirit and must call upon his estranged sister, Catherine, for help. Will a journey home help to uncover what has been missing and heal a broken spirit? In pursuit of a story worth telling, the Rogers duo rediscover the greatest story ever told.
This year’s show features a multi-tiered orchestra, festive choir, lively cast of characters, and a brand-new story that will capture your heart and reawaken your fondest Christmas memories.
Life Center’s production of Coming Home is directed by Adam Barta, choreographed by Joy Bennett, and conducted by Dr. Kenton Lee. The cast includes PLU alums Brandon Hell as Billy Rogers, Elizabeth Binkley as Sam, and Reginald Collins in his Singing Tree debut as Gerald. This year’s cast also features Tiffany Bass as Catherine Rogers, Tim Stocker as Mayor Krause, Kristen Wilson as Ethel, Jessica Kay as Maggie Jermaine, Aaron Stultz as Oscar, and Hannah Graves as Sarah. Collin Magnuson is scenic designer, Roby Doherty is costume designer, Ryan Jordan is lighting designer, Gary Kanz is sound designer, and Julie Spargo is technical director.
