Shellfish Biotoxin Closure Lifted

The Washington State Department of Health has lifted the closure for recreational shellfish harvesting from Point Fosdick to the Kitsap County line and from Day Island to the King County line.
This area includes Commencement Bay, Colvos Passage and the Narrows. Shellfish biotoxin concentrations are now at safe levels in these areas. There are currently no biotoxin closures in Pierce County.
