Road closures in the works

Anticipated event-related road closures expected around Tacoma through Sunday, Dec. 2 include:

  • On Thursday, Nov. 22, the Tacoma City Turkey Trot event will close North 26th Street from North Proctor to North Adams streets from 6:30 – 11:30 a.m. and will partially close North 25th Street, North Union Avenue, North 9th, North 12th, North 15, North Adams, and North Washington streets from 9 – 10:30 a.m.
  • On Thursday, Nov. 22, the Norpoint Turkey Trot will close the eastbound lane of Northshore Parkway, the northbound lane of Browns Point Boulevard, the southbound lane of Nassau Avenue Northeast, and the westbound lane of 45th Street Northeast from 8 –11 a.m.
  • On Saturday, Nov. 24, the Downtown Holiday Tree Lighting event will close Broadway from South 9th to South 11th streets from 3 – 7 p.m.
  • On Sunday, Dec. 2, the 6th Avenue Santa Parade will close 6th Avenue from South Sprague Avenue to South Alder Street from 2 – 7:30 p.m.

Ongoing:

  • The Proctor Farmers Market closes North 27th from North Proctor to North Madison streets every Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
