Hearing set for proposed opiod treatment center Facility would be located on South Tacoma Way


The Department of Social and Health Services has scheduled a public hearing in Pierce County to receive comments on plans for a new substance use disorder treatment program Friday, March 30.

The proposed services from this new treatment program will improve access to essential health care for people in Pierce County who are dependent on opioids, such as heroin and OxyContin.

The proposed program, Northwest Integrated Health, is requesting to operate at 3727 South Tacoma Way. The treatment program includes medication, case management, therapeutic treatment services and medical oversight.

The public hearing is from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., Friday, March 30, at the Asian Pacific Cultural Center, 4851 South Tacoma Way. Sign-in begins at 6 p.m.
