Detectives seek help with murder investigation


Tacoma Police detectives need help to identifing the suspect(s) responsible for the murder of 28-year-old Robert Doss II.

At approximately 10:50 p.m. on July 18, victim Robert Doss and a female friend were shot by unidentified suspect(s) while they were seated inside a green 2004 Ford Explorer that was parked at the intersection of South 14th and L. streets in the Hilltop neighborhood of Tacoma.

Doss had entered the female friend’s vehicle minutes before the shooting and was eating food when multiple gunshots were fired into the vehicle. The wounded female friend was able to drive herself and Doss to the hospital, where he died.

Detectives are looking for information on any possible suspects that may be involved in the homicide and/or motives for the homicide. Detectives are also looking for information on any suspicious persons or vehicles seen in the area around the time of the shooting.
