Burn ban lifted as air quality improves


Air pollution levels are improving quickly in the Puget Sound region. The Puget Sound Clean Air Agency is reporting “good” air quality again in many locations.  With many fires forest fires around the region expected to burn into September, residents may continue to see smoke impacts as weather patterns shift, potentially as early as Monday for a day or two.

The Stage 1 burn ban for King, Kitsap, Pierce, and Snohomish counties is now lifted.
