Annual zoning, landuse amendments hearing set for April 4 An informational session is set for March 28


The Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on the 2018 Annual Amendment, which includes proposed amendments to the Comprehensive Plan and Land Use Regulatory Code. The meeting will take place on Wednesday, April 4, at the Tacoma Municipal Building Council Chambers (747 Market St., 1st Floor) and will begin at 5 p.m. with the public hearing beginning at approximately 5:30 p.m.

Planning staff will also conduct an informational session on Wednesday, March 28, from 5:30 – 7 p.m., in the Council Chambers, to provide an opportunity for residents to learn more about the proposed amendments prior to the public hearing.

The proposed amendments for 2018 consist of seven applications with topics including Car Wash Uses in Neighborhood Centers, Outdoor Tire Storage, South 80th Street Rezone, Commercial Property View Sensitive District Height Measurement, Transportation Master Plan – Limited Amendment, Open Space Corridors Project and Tacoma Municipal Code Cleanups.
