An Off the Shelf staged reading: Written by Shelagh Delaney when she was 19, “A Taste of Honey” is one of the great defining and taboo-breaking plays of the 1950s. Starring two of Tacoma’s finest actors: Cassie Jo Fastabend and Sharry O’Hare. The performance is directed by Sara Freeman. Free for TLT members, $10 non-members.

The YMCA’s Musical Theater Class is performing “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas” by Dr. Seuss. These performances are open to YMCA members and non-members, and tickets are just $2 and are on sale at the Morgan Family YMCA Membership Desk.

You won’t believe the mayhem — and the fun — when the Herdmans collide with the Christmas story head on. This delightful comedy is adapted from the best-selling young adult book, and has become a holiday staple. Features a few favorite Christmas carols, and a lot of laughs.
