The much-anticipated Tacoma Baking Company will be opening on Jan. 4 as part of the development of Martin Luther King, Jr. Way in Hilltop (1316 Martin Luther King Jr Way). Five families came together to open the bakery – a mix of bakers, accountants, construction workers and veterans.

As stated on their website, “the Tacoma Baking Company is a wholesale and retail bread bakery. Made with all locally sourced, highly nutritious and sustainable ingredients, our high-quality products include kettle-boiled bagels and rustic breads, as well as accompanying French pastries and artisan coffee. More than a retail storefront, TBC offers wholesale fresh baked goods and a variety of catering options to suit every need.”
