Historic Tacoma’s annual meeting will feature an award ceremony saluting five local development professionals who honor Tacoma’s architectural past by revitalizing existing buildings through adaptive reuse. These businesses have been identified and nominated by members of our local arts community.
The honorees are: McMenamins Elks Temple; the Trecento Block on Puyallup Avenue (Rick Semple and Jori Adkins); Stonegate Pizza and Rum Bar in South Tacoma; 7 Seas Brewing (Travis Guterson and Mike Runion); and the Pochert and Kellogg-Sicker Buildings (formerly Browne’s Star Grill) in Hilltop.
The meeting will take place Thursday, Nov. 8, 7-9 p.m. at 323 Puyallup Avenue, Tacoma. Admission is free and refreshments will be provided.
Several awards crafted by local artists will be given to individuals associated with local historic preservation and adaptive reuse projects. For more information, email Lynn Di Nino at email@example.com or visit www.HistoricTacoma.org.
