“Scrooge! The Musical”

Tacoma Little Theatre continues its 100th anniversary season and celebrates the holidays with the holiday classic “Scrooge! The Musical.” This musical, with book, music and lyrics by Leslie Bricusse, is adapted from the 1970 film “Scrooge,” which starred Albert Finney and Sir Alec Guinness, and is directed by Micheal O’Hara, musically directed by Zachary Kellogg and choreographed by Eric Clausell.

The miserly Ebenezer Scrooge undergoes a profound experience of redemption over the course of a Christmas Eve night, after being visited by the ghost of his former partner Jacob Marley and the Ghosts of Christmas past, present and future in this wonderful adaptation of Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol.” Filled with favorite songs including: “Thank You Very Much,” “I Like Life,” and “Christmas Children,” this is the show to get you in the holiday spirit.

New Muses’ “Babes in Toyland”

Presented in partnership with Tacoma Little Theatre’s Off-the-Shelf program, New Muses is pleased to present a special workshop presentation of Victor Herbert’s “Babes in Toyland.” Featuring a new book and lyrics from Managing Artistic Director Niclas Olson, this new and exciting adaptation of the classic fairytale-themed musical is filled with heart, romance and classic songs including “March of the Wooden Soldiers” and the eponymous “Toyland.”

Camp TMP’s honor program presents the award-winning 1965 CBS special, “A Charlie Brown Christmas.” When Charlie Brown complains about the overwhelming materialism he sees among everyone during the Christmas season, Lucy suggests he become director of the school Christmas pageant. Charlie Brown accepts, but this proves to be a frustrating endeavor. When an attempt to restore the proper holiday spirit with a forlorn little Christmas fir tree fails, he needs Linus’ help to discover the real meaning of Christmas.
