I am going insane. I hate this virus. The future looks bleak and I have a feeling it is only going to get worse with time. Our world is turned upside down. What could possibly be good about this? I am out of touch with my friends so I have no one to talk to about this. The news is only about the virus now.
Please bring me some support of how to better look at this situation!
Insane About The Virus
Dear Insane About The Virus,
First of all, take the time right now to call your friends today and do it regularly. You won’t catch the virus by chatting on the phone with them. You may need a lot more interaction and affirmations from others than you realize. Your friends could be your lifeline during this isolation time period.
Here is a post I read recently that puts things in a different perspective for you.
SINCE THE VIRUS:
No school shootings
Traffic is GONE
Gas is AFFORDABLE
Kids are at home with their FAMILIES
Parents are home taking care of their children
Fast food replaced by HOME COOKED MEALS
Hectic schedules replaced by NAPS, REST & RELAXATION
The air seems cleaner
The world is QUIETER
People are conscious about HYGIENE and HEALTH
Money doesn’t seem to make the world go ROUND’ & ROUND’ anymore
Doctors, nurses & teachers are being PRAISED and RECOGNIZED instead of athletes and celebrities
Now we have TIME, finally, to stop and SMELL the ROSES!
The television and news left on all day will saturate your mind, so guard yourself from over-indulging in the virus subject matter. Don’t postpone your happiness – nurture your interests and spend time considering what you enjoy doing and focus only on that EACH day. What you practice, you become.
