
The Mary Bridge Festival of Trees is an annual event benefiting Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital & Health Center. This year the festival takes place Dec. 1 and Dec. 2 at the Greater Tacoma Convention Center (1500 Broadway, Tacoma).
The heart of the festival is the pageant of Christmas trees, which are decorated by teams of designers. Festival is open to the public Friday, Dec. 1 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 2 from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Everyone is invited to stroll through the glittering display of trees and enjoy special performances from local dance and musical groups. $6 general admission, $2 students (ages 13-18), children 12 and under are free.
Tinsel on the Town
Friday, Dec. 1, 6 p.m. to midnight
Tinsel on the Town is a whirlwind holiday cocktail event benefiting Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital. It’s an evening filled with the sights and sounds of the holiday season, where guests come together in support of care for kids at Mary Bridge. All proceeds will support Pediatric Complex Care at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital. What to Expect at Tinsel on the Town: reception featuring silk aerialist Duo Rêves and contortionists; live entertainment provided by The Blue Wave Band; live auction including trees and amazing experiences; silent auction and raffle; creative small bites and seated dinner; hosted beer and wine bar; exquisite holiday wreaths and mini trees.
Tinsel on the Town 2016 was a smashing success. Tinsel’s 650 guests enjoyed an exciting evening of dinner, auction, and dancing. The event raised $367,000, including a truly touching display of crowd participation during Fund-A-Need, which raised more than $190,000 for Mary Bridge Adolescent Behavioral Health at Tacoma General.

Breakfast with Santa
Saturday, Dec. 2, 1-10:30 a.m.
A popular festival event is Breakfast with Santa, which is sure to become your family’s new holiday tradition. Enjoy breakfast and stories with Santa, a special performance from Recess Monkey, and other fun family activities. Proceeds from Breakfast with Santa support care for kids at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital.
Tickets: $45 (age 13 and up), $25 (children 3-12), children 2 and under $5. Tables available for $350 (10 seats)
Venetian Masquerade
Saturday, Dec. 2, 6-10 p.m.
The Festival of Trees Gala is a black-tie dinner that attracts some of the most generous supporters of Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital. This year’s event will be a Venetian Masquerade inspired evening including an exciting tree auction and other heartwarming opportunities to support care for kids at Mary Bridge. All proceeds and Fund-A-Need donations benefit Where the Need Is Greatest at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital. What to Expect: an exquisite reception featuring stilt walkers and silk aerialist, Duo Rev.; beautifully decorated holiday trees available through live auction; seated four-course dinner; gorgeous Holiday Wreaths and Mini Trees to add to your holiday décor; raffle of top-of-the-line jewelry from LeRoy Jewelers
Cost: $300/person. Must be 21 to attend.
Attire: Venetian Masquerade Ball or Black tie
