AIDS Foundation features the art of Eileen Jimenez

Pierce County AIDS Foundation’s Art Gallery celebrates National Latinx HIV and AIDS Awareness with the colorful art of Eileen Jimenez during the month of November.

A celebrated queer indigenous artist, Jimenez creates art from the soul. Brightly painted canvases and embellished block prints speak to the stories and strength of her ancestors, along with the aesthetics of her Mexican and Otomi heritage – punctuated by Franco-European and Queer influences.

“Lo Sagrado: Los Cuentos de Nuestra Alma / The Sacred: The Stories of Our Soul” is rich with Latinx flavor, family, and folklore, and the significance of substance and spirit.

All are welcome.

PCAF Gallery is located at 3009 S. 40thSt., Tacoma. Hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
