Tacoma Musical Playhouse’s Spring Break Camp is a one-week, musical theater intensive for children ages 6-18 that culminates in a fully staged performance of “Fiddler on the Roof Jr.” In one-week, students will memorize lines, block the show and learn music and choreography necessary to put on a musical. At the end of the week, the cast will perform for friends, family and community members. This abbreviated rehearsal process gives students an opportunity to experience the fast-paced nature of theater during their school vacation. All students are welcome from all school districts and home schools who share these spring break schedules:
Tacoma School District: April 2-6
Auditions: March 31, 9 a.m. to noon
Rehearsals: April 2-6, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Performance: April 6 and April 7 (performance time TBD)
Puyallup and UP School District: April 9-13
Auditions: April 7, 9 a.m. to noon
Rehearsals: April 9-13, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Performance: April 13 and 14 (performance time TBD)
Peninsula School District: April 16-20
Auditions: April 14, 9 a.m. to noon
Rehearsals: April 16-20, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Performance: April 20 and 21 (performance time TBD)
All students from other school districts and homeschools welcome.
$325 if registered by March 27, $375 on or after March 28 (additional sibling $275). Financial assistance available upon request. All registered campers are guaranteed a role.
