Foss hosts first leadership lock-in

LOCKED IN. One hundred Foss High School students were nominated to participate in the school’s first leadership lock-in, an all-night event aimed at promoting leadership and community among the student body. Above, students participate in one of many leadership and team building exercises at the overnight event March 20. Each teacher, club advisor and coach nominated a person who they thought had leadership potential and would benefit from the lock-in, bringing students together who may otherwise not hang out. “You are all here for a reason. You were nominated because we believe in you and your leadership potential,” Principal Thu Ament told students. “Your purpose is to build on that leadership. You can help spread what you learn from the lock-in to other students throughout the school.” Read more...
